Christmas and a Happy New Year (so far)!

My current goal is to update my blog at least once each month, and I barely made it this month!  Here's what's been happening:

Christmas!  I love Christmas, especially with kids.  Their faces on Christmas morning are PRICELESS!

What a cute flower!

Benjamin's favorite present by far was his blocks.  He still plays with them nonstop and
has already learned a lot of his colors from playing with them.

Ok, so we finally gave in a got the kids a Wii.  They were thrilled.  We had them open it last and told them that it was their big present, but then after everything was over and they'd all gone off to get ready
for round two at G&G's, we surprised them with something they had begged for but we'd told them no, sorry, NEVER!...

A kitten!

It's a ragdoll (named because they're so relaxed and good with children).   I thought I was gonna have to resuscitate Annica when she first saw him, she was so shocked and excited!
We named him Sam.  He's a good little kitty.

The next morning, we packed into the car and drove up to Oregon, for round 3
of the Christmas party, and to be at my sister's mission farewell.  It was a decent
ride up (thanks to the dvd player).  Herethey are watching Monsters Vs. Aliens 3D:

I can't believe I didn't take more pictures while we were in Oregon.  Just have a few from one morning when
Scott and I decided Benjamin wanted to try sledding.  We couldn't find a sled, so we improvised with
one of my mom's cookie sheets (sorry Mom)!  He loved it...

...until he got cold!

The drive back home and out of Oregon was beautiful.  My little point and shoot couldn't
quite capture the image, oh well.
My parents followed us home to Utah, and a few days later, we dropped off Cathryn at the MTC.  It
was a happy thing, no tears.  We're excited for Cathryn...she's going to do great.

I can't believe my baby is two!!!  He loves Nemo and was excited about his Nemo cake...he kept saying, "there's TWO Nemos!"  Really one was Nemo and one was his dad, but I didn't tell him that.

Benjamin was more excited for his birthday than he was about Christmas.  He tore open those packages, and didn't wait open the bags, just dumped them upside down and let everything fall out.  He was jumping up and down and cheering about everything...even clothes!

Showing Grandpa Ben his new trucks!  His birthday is one day before his namesake's, Ben's (Scott's dad).

HAPPY.
